Failed Assassination Of Pelosi/Husband Attacked In Home

bobknight33 says...

This bizarre story was immediately explained in the liberal media as being MAGA attack:

But to recap:
So let's get this straight, a man in his underwear manages to elude security cameras, Scale a wall & elude security guards and dogs, breaks into a home without setting an alarm off but is somehow captured with a hammer because of a wellness check at 2am. Also were both in their underwear, and a 3rd “unknown person” answered the door.
Fishy Pelosi Story Right?

DePape is not a right wing MAGA guy, he's a crazy doper who is all over the place on politics.
Paul knew his name & called him a friend in 911 call
Was NOT a political attack.

But by leftest standards... If 2 guys in their undwear get into a hammer fight at 2 am its Trumps fault.

What web links are you looking at? The fake ones created on Friday and now are gone?

Fake news….your evidence?
Posted at your request, dumbshit. Do you think you just pulled a fast one or something? Did you really just ask me to post a video just so you could parrot “fake news”? Yes … yes you did.

My evidence….His Facebook, twitter, and truth social accounts, likely others. His voice heard by 911 operators, police, emts, etc. Also the weapon and zip ties he brought to the home invasion. Did you not listen to the video? Was it not OAN so no fact could penetrate your anal shield to your ears?

Funny, it’s the police saying all these things. Not reporters, police spokesmen. Are you saying they make up stories about innocent people so regularly that they would do it in this public of a case? Evidence? Of course not. Just more baseless denial of reality.

Glass breaks in and out when you break it. It also breaks out during struggles inside, or when you rip a glass door open violently. Are you seriously suggesting this is staged, some false flag attack, and Pelosi’s husband is so committed to this lie he smashed his own skull in?
It’s clear from photos and videos that the vast majority of broken glass, and the wood/vinyl cross member are inside the house.

Um….now onto baseless silly gay slurs and accusations because you have no information, no way to contradict the FACT that he’s a MAGgot moron that believes every conspiracy theory you do and worships the same ochre ogre.

I never knew you were into eating men’s asses, but if you say so, you must be.
I never knew that’s what MEGA meant, no wonder you sissies changed it but wouldn’t explain!
Be careful, lots of diseases you can get from eating shit, but it’s clear that’s what you’re into, you’ve been doing it here for over a decade, you probably know all the pitfalls well by now. Then again, your mantra is

Edit: thinking about it, this is your last question until you can answer just one. You never can, you just ignore them every time.
Since I know you’re incapable of answering questions, that means you’re done asking me any. Until then, the answer to any question you pose is “Ashley Babbitt”….it should be “what charges came down for Clinton”, another claim you refused to back up. I haven’t forgotten many questions you dodged.

Have you ever heard a koala 'roar'?

I've got one living in a tree in my street. 2am in the morning, even knowing what it is still scares the heck out of me!

Ted Cruz loves White Castle

moonsammy says...

I have access to many White Castle locations. I don't visit regularly, as the food isn't for meals, per se. At 2am, in one of the right states of mind, it is the food of the gods. Particularly the jalapeno sliders and mozz sticks.

Oh, and when they have them, the cheese curds are shockingly good.

Starbucks meetup ends with handcuffs for 2 patrons

newtboy says...

If that was the policy, I could agree, but the corporate representative has said publicly that in that region it's their written policy that non customers can't use the rest room or loiter inside, and they set up the manager, unintentionally, to fail with their policies. It's horrific to me that, for following written policy, the manager is now fired.

Crazy that you, of all people, are arguing the manager in a privately owned business doesn't have the right to eject even customers, much less non customers. How can that work? Any place open to the public is now publicly owned? No business may prosecute anyone for trespassing? Even non customers? Or is it just franchise coffee shops? I've seen many a white punk asked to leave Denny's at 2am for no purchase, or for nursing their coffee for hours....I've been one.

The cops have said they asked the men at least 7 times to leave peacefully over a prolonged, disruptive time period, and they continuously refused. During that time, backup and a supervisor were called and had time to show up while the men remained seated, ignoring the police requests/commands.

How hard would it have been to just buy their own coffee instead of causing all this over obstinate refusal to respect the manager's requests because they're waiting for someone? How often would you expect that excuse, if accepted, to end with hours of free WiFi and restroom use but no sales? Seems to me they caused all this themselves, and had dozens of easy opportunities to avoid even being asked to leave, much less arrest, just by being a customer in the store they set up shop in.

Edit: and I shouldn't have said it had nothing to do with race, there's likely a racial component....it's not only or definitively about race.

All that said...please go ahead and boycott Starbucks, if not for this then because they're out of control and a near monopoly.

bobknight33 said:

I agree until your last paragraph. They were waiting for their friend(s) and they were early.

I personally don't like Starbucks. I do have to meet my boss there yearly ( yearly reviews) and often sit waiting 30 -- 40 minutes till my turn. I do not buy anything, never had. The place is mostly full but I am never harassed.

The store clerk was wrong. And the interaction between the police and the men could have been wrong. I do not know how the interaction went down. If they said their piece and disrespectful to the police then then sure escort them out.. But I don't think they were. Cops should have mediated between the store and the men.

Container Ship Collision In Pakistan

fuzzyundies says...

As a tall ship sailor, I'm horrified by events like this. I personally know a sailor whose ship sank at 2am in the Bay of Biscay, apparently holed by a partially submerged container. They're the modern-day version of icebergs except much harder to spot and they can occur ANYWHERE.

Yeah so, a couple of things.

Not exactly pets either, but there's no livestock tag.

BMXer Vs. THE MAN ;)

MilkmanDan says...

I can see this one from both sides. The potential for litigation -- which could be truly catastrophic for a school / business / private person / whatever -- is real. It's fucking retarded, but it is a real danger.

In the early 2000's, I was living in a trailer park with a buddy while we were going to college. We lived right next to a movie theater that had a nice, huge, paved asphalt parking lot in the back. We used to take roller blades, sticks, and a PVC hockey goal into that lot and play roller hockey after closing time -- like 2AM or so. Nobody there, no parked cars, no property around to damage with errant shots or whatever.

One night we went a bit earlier than usual, and the manager had happened to stay late to close. He saw us as he was driving out and started driving towards us. I figured "well, there goes this spot". He asked us what were were doing, we explained. He asked us if we had asked anybody for permission, and we admitted we hadn't. He asked if we knew that companies sometimes got sued by people who wiped out and broke a leg or whatever, and we said yes.

And then he surprised me. He said "OK, consider this me, the manager, giving you permission to keep on playing here, on these conditions:

1) Never play there if there are parked cars in that part of the lot behind the theater.
2) Come in and ask for permission again if we want to play with more people, or if any other conditions change.
3) Look me in the eye and give me your word as a man that you wouldn't sue me for being an idiot and falling down and breaking your arm or whatever, and shake my hand to seal the bargain."

Awesome theater manager. Not sure if things have gotten enough worse in litigation-crazy USA that he'd be willing to make that same bargain again. But that wouldn't be his fault, it would be an outcome of our crazy legal system.

Woman Refuses to Leave Uber Car

ChaosEngine says...

Uber drivers ARE taxi drivers. By any reasonable definition of the term, there's simply no question of that. They just work for a particularly shit taxi service. There's also a question of whether they are Uber employees, but that's probably another discussion.

How many times do I have to acknowledge that wasn't the case here?

I was responding to the general point that @newtboy made about leaving someone's property if they ask you. It's not that black and white when you're paying for a service. Would you be ok with a hotel knocking on your door at 2am and telling you to get out on the street? Or a movie theatre or a restaurant kicking you out before you finished the movie/meal? They would need a legitimate reason to do so.

Again, I know that is not the case here.

Babymech said:

I think you missed Drachen Jaeger's point - Uber drivers shouldn't be treated as taxi drivers; Uber should be legislated as though they were providing a taxi service. Until that's the case, you can either lower your expectations, or refuse on principle to use Uber.

As for your other rebuttal, Newt already covered it. You don't get to mix up "staying in the car as protest" with "staying in the car because you don't know where you are". The first scenario is unacceptable and shitty; the second could be excused except in this case it obviously isn't. She's at the right hospital, and the Emergency Admission is just a walk away from the car - and she's clearly not in a hurry. She's not in an 'unfamiliar place' and you know it - the driver references the hospital sign, and she readily accepts the hospital personnel saying that it's just a short walk away. That's the specific case we're dealing with - I wouldn't judge her half as harshly if she really was in an unfamiliar place... but why are you bringing it up, when it's not the case here?

She didn't stay in his car because she was legitimately confused about where she was, she stayed in his car to hold him hostage while she lodged her complaint about the service she received. That's not ok, regardless of whether it's Uber, McDonald's, or some super-friendly mom and pop store. You disengage (which he didn't have the luxury of doing) and you figure out how to get justice later.

The Most Costly Joke in History

newtboy says...

Um...who called you a pig? The voices in your head? Certainly not me. I don't know why you would say you can't be both though. That's just silly. ;-)

That's a pretty big 'If it can' that's already been proven to be an 'it can't'. Even IF it did everything it was supposed to, yes, it's 10 years too late and at least double an acceptable price tag, and still not ready for prime time, or even the 2am slot.
Yes, modification happens, but the idea is not to produce something that needs to be modified out of the box in order to do anything well.
No, many bombers are in use that were designed as bombers. Sorry, but that's just wrong.
Once again, the idea of the F-35 doesn't grant air superiority, neither does a few of these planes, especially if we are too afraid to lose a $200+ million plane so we just don't use them, which is the most likely outcome. It is in NO way a deterrent to full scale war with any foe we might ever use it against, like Russia. If it was some magic anti-war bullet, that might be money well spent, but is simply isn't in any way and NEVER will be, so that argument is just silly.
In 10 years, the stealth properties of this plane will be 5 years past obsolete....and it may STILL not be in the air.
There are no countries with air forces that can come close to ours, not one. I don't think there's even a group of 10 nations combined that come close to ours. We will NEVER be in a fair fight excepting a nuclear one where every one dies, and we'll still out nuke everyone else 10-1, it just won't matter.
Yes, Trump likely would take us to war, that's no reason to waste more money on unneeded weapons for a possible, unknown, unlikely future conflict with an unknown, unestimated enemy.
Still testing....and still testing....and still testing....$1.3 TRILLION later.....Still testing (and failing those tests)....still testing...still testing. Eventually it should be admitted that it's a failure, more testing won't help (it hasn't yet), and quit throwing mountains of good money after bad.
No, it doesn't. It's TASKED with all the same stuff the aging, multi types of planes do, but it can't do it. Stealth is not something new, BTW, we have many stealth planes already, better ones that work.
Again, out of the box needing to be upgraded is a fail. A massive, indisputable fail. That an engine powerful enough to move this pig like other planes already can doesn't exist should tell you something. It's aerodynamic....great....that's one part of a dozen that have to fit together.
The price tag is multiplied 10 fold because it has a pilot.
You want them to eventually pass ALL required tests...not fail them all, then change the parameters so it isn't canceled.
Nope...Warthog.
Not so far. So far, other stealth planes do what it's supposed to...better. Upgrading them is clearly a better plan.
Not true. All I hear is 'it sucks' because I don't read Lockheed Martin's press releases. When you look at test results, it sucks. When you look at price, it sucks. When you look at upkeep, it sucks ass. When you look at a fleet of them doing everything a dozen different planes today do, we're bankrupt and far less capable militarily, and that sucks.

But it seems no amount of logic and results will dissuade you from your love of this unmitigated debacle. That's your choice, but you aren't convincing anyone else to go along with you.

Clinton Campaign:Whatever you can get away with just do it

shagen454 says...

Yeah, I feel like Bernie's campaign isn't as strong due to people letting the mainstream media tell them that he isn't going to win. Then people start looking at the fact that they don't want a racist, misogynist, arrogant, homophobe, reality-TV celebrity who is also just a straight up 1 percenting rich prick as their president, so they vote for Capitol Hillcake Clinton.

People also forget that Bill Clinton helped deregulate Wall Street (which helped cause the market crash in 2008) and you better bet that Hillcakes is sharing that same bed with Wall Street while Bill takes his Wall Street allowance and sneaks off for a 2am blowjob from a fancy $3k/hr escort.

All of these people are straight up hustler/villains except for good old Bernie.

newtboy said:

I agree it's not so much a reflection of Hillary that some underlings do this, but it is a reflection of each candidate how they handle it when it comes to light. As far as I can tell, she has done nothing about this...which is the same story for almost every other candidate that's had a supporter cause a 'scandal'. Oddly, the only one I've heard publicly rebuke a supporter and fire them was Cruz, who's campaign has been one of the worst, least truthful, and most vitriolic of any besides Trump.
Things aren't looking good for us politically, the only good choice is rapidly evaporating in favor of a 'the lesser of two evils' kind of choice.

Slipknot on why they wear masks

newtboy says...

Understandable....but I meant I was disappointed in the video not mentioning them, not your comment.
As a group famous for being masked and gory theatrics on stage, it seemed reasonable to expect them to mention at least one of the major groups that started the genre. Maybe they do in the full version?
I was lucky enough to see GWAR in a tiny club in East Oakland in the 80's. They didn't have room for a lot of their bigger stuff, but still put on a great show in a club with at least double capacity of young punks. When it was over at about 2am, the punks spilled out into the East Oakland streets and instantly a dozen street fights broke out! What a night!

hazmat22 said:

Touche, I shouldn't have left GWAR out, although I still haven't seem them live technically. They were rained out this summer at Riot Fest and all we got was a ton of fake blood shot out over everyone and a brief glimpse of their costumes. I think their equipment was probably damaged even, it went from dry as their set started to a torrential downpour traveling horizontal in seconds.

Kiss was a little before my time, so I haven't had the urge to go see them live, although I do enjoy their music and influence.

My list was only bands I've seen live =P

The REAL Reason MTV No Longer Plays Music Videos

SquidCap says...

Real reason? Reality shows are cheap to make, music videos are expensive to show. But before MTV stopped playing music, they went thru phases where each iteration did bring us only the top 10 or record label promotion paid them to play their new artists, then that was mixed with reality and finally they stopped pretending and just switched on full reality tv that they can sell. MTV could see it like this parody video on their end "people are watching less and less music" but it was exactly the cancellation of Headbangers Ball, Yo Raps, Alternative Nation etc. that lead to declining numbers.. I stopped watching wh en headbangers and Alt nation stopped as it was only top hits from that point on. Everything even remotely alternative or indie was gone, there were no one selecting new music as there were no more people to host the shows, VJs were gone, it was just automated playlist that plaid literally the same songs over and over. It was an attempt to get more profit from casual music listeners but even they turned it down: it seems like you need and want to hear music you don't like every now and then to make your favorites a lot more important.. Even i wouldn't watch a music station that plays only the things i like, i need to hear one or two really awful crap every now and then just to remind me that music can be truly awful and soulless product and not everyone is Radiohead.

And mind you, those alternative shows only aired at odd hours, headbangers ball was around midnight and really hard stuff like Into the Pit was aired around 2am, it still was top 20 during the day. But it did mix it up a little, one alternative or indie video per hour. You take that one exception away and it is boring no matter what your music taste is.

My Late Night Routeeen

lucky760 says...

Exactly my routine, except replace "clicking all my bookmarks" with "working, working, and working." And in the morning it's the opposite; instead of going back to sleep (which I really, really wish I could do, especially on weekends), I instead summon the will to pull myself up and out of bed through another bleary-eyed 20-hour day.

(Side note: all of my 2AMs and 5AMs are in the morning. A 5AM in the afternoon would be optimal.)

Music Vid Shot During Layover Restores my Faith in Humanity

shveddy says...

All the counters and stores definitely close down in most airports after, say, 2am. You'll never find yourself completely alone - there are always a few security guards, cleaning staff and other stranded travelers milling around - but if you're sharing an airport designed to process tens of thousands of travelers per day with only a few dozen people, there are plenty of places perfect for lonely music video making.

Piers Morgan vs Ben Shapiro

GeeSussFreeK says...

Why does the general public need high fructose corn syrup? Why does the general public need anything but for which you have allotted them? Is now need to be the only measure of what right should be allowed? I can't make a good argument for why many things that exist, do, and if that is to be the measure of the law, I doubt videosift would exist at all.
