Anyone else have a hard time with vimeo embeds in general? Meaning, the playback seems sluggish even on a crispy new computer?? They have never seemed to act right.

I have closed 3 vimeo videos today because they were not streaming properly.

I've had no problem submitting their Vids. But they stopped allowing anything but iframe. I used to post their videos on my profile page but Videosift doesn't recognize those anymore. No conversion like when you're submitting a video.

Try this:

Open the submit page (not just the pop-up box)

• Paste vimeo URL into the embed box
  
• Hit "validate embed"
  
• Copy transmogrified embed
  
• Paste as comment on your profile

Although it's still another hoop to jump through that's annoying. iframe is the norm outside youtube.
