Video contains content from. It is restricted from playback.
Hi!
Is it me or are there a lot of embedded videos being blocked on VS with web browsers' send referrer disabled? For example: http://videosift.com/video/Nero-Promises-original
"This video contains content from... It is restricted from playback on certain sites. Watch on YouTube".
Thank you in advance.

With your web browser's send referrer disabled?
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Works OK for me too. Pretty sure my referrer is not disabled.
Works okay for me with and without referrers disabled.

Interesting. Other reproduced it in http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r26174419-Some-embedded-YouTube-videos-require-referrers- forum thread when I asked about it.
Assuming you've got it disabled for privacy concerns, you may have better luck with spoofing.

Yeah, I tried spoofing with PrefBar extension in Mozilla's SeaMonkey v2.0.14:
Send nothing/blank for referrer = blocked
Send a fake non-URL referrer = blocked
Send an invalid/fake URL referrer like http://TrackThis.!!! = not blocked
It is tracking previous web site. Basically, videosift.com and doesn't like it.

So there's your solution: Set it to send a fake referrer. It maintains your privacy without breaking shit.

Still lame for YouTube to be stalking/tracking us.

That is giving me the error you talk about Ant, after reading some of this post I found a new option to restrict assholes from monitoring my internet activity, which I love !. I changed my 2 to a 0 in Firefox and now the above link told me I can not watch it as its got the general "non embeddable watch on you-tube " such and such.
So this is going to throw a loop into my video sifting, I guess I wont be able to call dead anymore because I can not be sure if its dead or not, the problem would be my browser in fact...
Shit.
Oh well, the less corporate spy jerks infesting my computer the better.

Annoying, huh? What is "1" in Firefox then?
